Fair Housing

LHAND adheres to and promotes fair housing principles. Neighborhood stabilizations seeks to address a balance of housing needs. It is a coordination of allocated resources to address the local and regional housing needs as identified by the state and community stakeholders. Following the Washington Street Master Plan, the initial phase created 54 affordable units and has led to the additional investment opportunities to further promote a mix of incomes, diversity and social equity and will improve the neighborhood without displacement of residents. This project will also promote greater opportunity and improve quality of life, creating a community where residents could live regardless of income.
