Realizing Intergenerational Success Through Education (RISE)
RISE is a Lynn-based program designed to support families with children enrolled in Lynn Public Schools who are either experiencing homelessness or facing any kind of challenge to maintaining their housing. Our staff specializes in helping families achieve their own goals by connecting students and their families to community resources and programs. We will provide you with confidential support finding or maintaining your housing, increasing your income so that you can afford your housing, and cultivating your family’s educational opportunities and well-being.
If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness or concerned how they will maintain housing in the future, please contact us for support including, but not limited to, the following:
For Parents/Guardians:
- Securing affordable housing, avoiding homelessness
- Basic budgeting support and help applying for benefits
- Access to financial coaching for those interested in increasing savings and credit
- Building employment skills and connecting with education or jobs
- Connections to community programs to support overall health and well-being
- Help navigating public school and community resources
For Students:
- Connections to educational and supportive services such as special education, transportation, back-to-school supplies, and more
- Connections to other resources to support child well-being for students and their younger siblings
- Access to after-school programs, enrichment programs, and summer camps
- Help obtaining work or summer jobs for older youth
- Planned and supported transfers, when necessary, to ensure educational continuity
